Pleasant hotel, friendly staff, with comfortable amenities including a spacious room and a lovely breakfast with both cooked and continental options. the location is also convenient for exploring local attractions, and the free wi-fi added to my overall satisfaction during my stay.
Nothing could be improved.

we had a really nice stay at the chetwynde hotel. it was super quiet and we got a free room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise. the room was large and comfy, and the bathroom was also nice. location was good for visitin the furness peninsula and lake district. breakfast was included and had a good selection.
the pillows were really thin so we didn’t sleep as well as we could've. The bar prices were quite high.

Our stay was quite enjoyable, especially the breakfast, which had a great variety that catered to different dietary needs, including vegetarian options. We also appreciated the friendly and attentive service from Michael and Steven, which made our experience even more pleasant. The secure parking was a bonus for our motorbike, as the owner went the extra mile to provide a safer space for it. We highly recommend this place for a comfortable stay.

Breakfast was a feast fit for a king! The eggs were cooked to perfection, and I can't get over the cozy vibe of the place. Plus, the receptionist, Kirsty, was simply a gem, making us feel right at home.
The Wi-Fi was a bit of a letdown, and the taps in the bathroom had their own ideas about warm water!

We spent a lovely two nights here with the kids, and the family room was spacious with plenty of tea and shortbread on hand! Relaxation opportunities like the beautiful garden and cozy lounge made it easy to unwind. The only downside was the slight creakiness of our room, but it didn't affect our stay at all. 😊

Secure parking availability, beautiful historical architecture, inviting lounge areas
The need for improved cleanliness standards cannot be overstated!!! Attention to detail in room maintenance would. Enhancing communication about restaurant availability would help guests avoid unnecessary hassles while looking for meals!!!

Stunning location surrounded by beautiful greenery, with a bus stop conveniently outside. The staff were exceptionally accommodating, ensuring my husband had meals suitable for his allergies, and providing a private space for breakfast. While the room's cleanliness was commendable, my experience turned sour due to the rude behavior of the manager during check-in, creating significant stress over our stay. These conflicting experiences led to a mixed impression overall.

The large room and bathroom were spacious, providing comfort during our week-long stay. The surprise room upgrade made our trip even more enjoyable.
The quiet location is great, but it’s a bit far from the town center.
